Sugar Cookies

• 3/4 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix all. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Dip top half into cold water then sugar.

Bake at 375 degrees for ? minutes.
